Interfacce Ethernet CI

Ethernet è la tecnologia LAN a livello fisico più diffusa oggi in uso. Definisce il numero di conduttori necessari per una connessione, le soglie prestazionali previste e fornisce la struttura per la trasmissione dei dati.

Lo standard IEEE 802.3 definisce le regole per la configurazione di una rete Ethernet e specifica anche come gli elementi in una rete Ethernet interagiscono tra loro.

Aderendo allo standard IEEE, le apparecchiature di rete ei protocolli di rete possono comunicare in modo efficiente.

Tipi di IC per interfaccia Ethernet

I componenti dell'interfaccia Ethernet sono essenziali per i progetti integrati che utilizzano il protocollo Ethernet. Le tre tipologie di interfaccia Ethernet sono: controller, switch e ricetrasmettitori.

Gli IC per interfaccia Ethernet sono forniti in contenitori semiconduttori come QFN, TQFP e SOIC.

Controller Ethernet

Un controller Ethernet determina se ciascun pacchetto di dati è destinato al computer locale o a un altro computer sulla stessa rete. Se le informazioni sono destinate al computer locale, decodifica tali informazioni e le trasmette al processore. Se le informazioni sono destinate a un altro computer della rete, le informazioni vengono eliminate.

Switch Ethernet

Gli switch Ethernet forniscono funzionalità di controllo e commutazione. Sono solitamente collegati alla scheda a circuito stampato di uno switch Ethernet e funzionano insieme all'alimentatore e ai ventilatori per garantire una commutazione ottimale.

Ricetrasmettitori Ethernet

I ricetrasmettitori Ethernet sono progettati per collegare computer o dispositivi elettronici all'interno di una rete. Sono composti da un trasmettitore e un ricevitore che consentono loro di posizionare i segnali sulla rete e rilevare i segnali in entrata.
